Description The Medical Front Desk Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for patients within the Head & Neck Surgery specialty practice. This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting front office operations, ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate registration, and compliance with healthcare regulations. Primary Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional and compassionate manner Check patients in and out, verify demographics, and update insurance information Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments Collect copays, balances, and process payments accurately Answer and route incoming calls and messages promptly Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and surgical paperwork as needed Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR system Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times Support clinical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Previous medical front desk or healthcare office experience preferred Experience in a surgical or specialty practice is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Proficiency with EMR and scheduling systems preferred
