The Front Office Assistant oversees the patient experience. They deliver the Rehab United brand of service with the utmost kindness, compassion, professionalism and efficiency. NOTE: A Front Office Float must have a reliable mode of transportation and be willing to travel to all San Diego Rehab United clinic locations to accommodate clinic needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Superb customer service & communication skills
  • Attention to detail, organization & prioritization
  • Efficient time management, particularly in high pressure scenarios, while maintaining professionalism and composure
  • Simple math skills using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Familiarity with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams
  • Ability to grasp computer systems quickly
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Two or more years of medical office experience - Physical Therapy Clinic or Medical Office Management are a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check-in patients when they arrive to the office.
  • Have patient complete required forms, obtains necessary signatures, and accurately enter the patient information for registration.
  • Ensure all insurance, personal, and health information is obtained and verified prior to each patient’s appointment.
  • Maintain daily scheduling of patient appointments, and collaborate with therapists and Clinic Director to accommodate patient/therapist needs.
  • Respond to heavy volume of incoming calls for appointments and other requests.
  • Collect patient co-payments, deductibles, and prior balances.
  • Explain payment policy/billing procedures and financial responsibility to patients.
  • Prepare and properly file patient forms.
  • Balance daily monies and receipts, and ensure accuracy of fee tickets and batch summaries.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
