Description Job Summary The Medical Front Desk Specialist is responsible for patient registration, check-in/check-out, collection of copays, and other balances. This position requires excellent customer services skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Duties/Responsibilities Check in and check out patients. Ensure patient and insurance demographic information is correct, and all consent forms are properly signed and completed. Ensure insurance cards and patient identification are on file. Review and obtain completed Advance Beneficiary Notifications. Collect on estimated out of pocket costs and previous balances. Answer incoming calls to the clinic. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities Strong customer service skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of HIPAA requirements. Knowledge of medical terminology and proper spelling. Mathematically proficient Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Education/Experience High School Diploma or GED Minimum 3 years required Experience with EMR system, Athena knowledge a plus Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on computer. Responsibilities
