THE ROLE:
Seeking a GP Receptionist to join our lovely team.
Hours: Tuesday & Wednesday 1.30 - 6.30, Thursday 8 - 1.30, Friday 8 - 6.30.
Please note: Hours are fixed due to required shift patterns to cover surgery opening times and candidates must work on site and therefore be in commutable distance to Bournemouth.
Ideally, candidates will have GP/Primary Care/NHS reception and admin experience. Candidates who can demonstrate valuable transferable skills may also be considered.
The role will consist of both front of house reception duties and back office admin tasks, so please be aware of the essential and desirable criteria set out below.

ROLE OBJECTIVE:
To provide and maintain an efficient, professional, reliable, pleasant, welcoming and friendly service to patients and to support with queries from doctors, staff, patients and third parties across 3 local sites (Wallisdown, Northbourne and Bournemouth University).
TASKS INCLUDE:
Welcoming patients both face to face and on the phone and processing patient requests
Managing internal post boxes
Filing, Photocopying & Faxing.
Maintaining a record of daily lab tests
Accurate data entry of patient data
Processing and issuing of repeat prescription
Ensuring prompt room clearance after surgeries and restocking of supplies
Chaperoning Doctors upon request
Opening and closing of premises
Advising on and charge fees for consultations/prescriptions and processing
Patient registrations
Organising/making refreshments as requested.
Covering for and assisting other Receptionist’s when needed.
To maintain positive and professional relationships with all staff and third parties.
To comply with all compliance, confidentiality and Data Protection Regulations.
To undertake training to ensure that that skills remain compliant and at the required standard of the practice.
Any other tasks allocated that fall within the scope of Practice requirements and the employee’s expected skill level.
