Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for a people-focused and customer-centric individual to play a fundamental role in upholding Jones Radiology’s commitment to delivering the best possible patient experience.
The Medical Imaging Assistant (MIA) aids technical staff and ensures optimum clinic efficiency across multiple (MRI and CT) modalities. The MIA works closely with technical and clerical staff members to improve patient health care through accessible, empathic and innovative imaging.
We are offering permanent full-time or part-time positions based at multiple Central, Southern & Hills region clinics; working a minimum of 15 hours per week with the potential for additional days.
The successful candidate will work rotating shifts between the core hours of 6:30am and 8:30pm. You will also be expected to contribute to a weekend roster approximately once per month and be compensated accordingly.
Upon your commencement, you will receive paid training to proficiently undertake your duties and deliver the best possible patient experience.

YOUR ROLE

  • Prepare patients for procedures and examinations
  • Provide patients with adequate explanation and provision of information – both before and during the examination
  • Cannulate patients appropriately as required and assist technical staff with patient positioning
  • Providing excellent customer service and patient care
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with patients, referrers, staff, and managers
  • Other general duties as outlined in the attached position description
