How you will make an impact
Cabrini’s Medical Imaging department services a variety of patients including outpatients, inpatients and ED patients across our Malvern and Brighton campuses. Modalities include General Xray, Cath Lab, Hybrid Lab, Angiography, CT, MRI, Mammography and DEXA. We also offer Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and PET imaging.
We provide a 24-hour service seven days a week at our Malvern campus and we are seeking applications from suitably qualified, enthusiastic and highly motivated Medical Imaging Technologists to join our team. Either Grade 1 or 2 level, training across all specialty modalities will be provided, with the successful applicant able to participate in a rotating seven-day roster and on call requirements.
Previous experience in one of more of the following modalities is desirable – CT, Angiography, Cardiac Cath Lab, Mammography, Breastscreen and/or MRI.

Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Providing care to the patient before, during and after the medical imaging examination, ensuring compassionate, competent care and service.
  • Examining the patient radiographically, as and when requested in writing by a qualified medical practitioner, according to the imaging protocols of the department or as directed by the consultant radiologist.
  • Adhering to the Cabrini codes of professional conduct, code of ethics, standards of practice and competencies, Mission, Values and Vision, and the Behaviours that Matter.

About you

To be successful in the role you will have the following:

  • Diploma or Bachelor degree in Radiography / Radiation / Medical Imaging
  • Recent experience in a similar position
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication skills with a patient focused caring attitude
  • Commitment to learning and further developing skillset
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
