Description:

The Medical Information Associate is responsible for delivering technical and scientific information to healthcare professionals, consumers and internal stakeholders on a diverse range of pharmaceutical medicines, OTCs, medical devices and therapeutic areas, including conducting literature searches and reviews using various medical databases.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking for a Medical Information Associate with previous Medical Information experience to join our diverse, multicultural team, in the exciting and fast paced life science sector.
As Medical Information Associate you will be responsible for delivering technical and scientific information to healthcare professionals, consumers and internal stakeholders on a diverse range of pharmaceutical medicines, OTCs, medical devices and therapeutic areas, including conducting literature searches and reviews using various medical databases in Australia and New Zealand and the Japan and Asia Pacific region. This is a 2-year fixed term contract reporting to the Medical Information Manager.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Have completed studies in pharmacy, nursing or relevant scientific disciplines such as Drug Development or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
  • Previous experience in a Medical Information role.
  • Experience in the principles of medical information and in the provision of drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
  • Demonstrated experience in literature search using PubMed or Embase.
  • Proficient in technical writing.
  • Experience in Australian and NZ requirements for drug safety reporting.
  • Knowledge of key overseas regulations in medical information and drug safety reporting.

Responsibilities:

SOME KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Receive, assess, and address medical information enquiries from healthcare professionals, patients, and internal client staff.
  • Conduct literature searches using PubMed or Medline to gather relevant information for query resolution.
  • Provide timely responses to customer queries with accurate technical and scientific information.
  • Ensure proper reporting and follow-up of potential adverse events and product complaints.
  • Adhere to relevant regulations and client requirements regarding customer complaints, adverse events, and enquiries.
