GENERAL INFORMATION

As Medical Interpreter German - Arabic (m/w/d), you will be responsible to accompany Arabic-speaking patients during their medical appointments in Berlin, Germany, and to translate from Arabic to German and from German to Arabic.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the medical professional fully understands the complaints of the patient and that the patient fully understands their medical condition, treatment options, and any care instructions given by the medical specialist.

Responsibilities
  • You provide in-person interpretation services for Arabic-speaking patients during medical appointments with German-speaking healthcare providers.
  • You accurately interpret spoken communication between patients and medical staff, ensuring clarity and precision in both languages.
  • You assist patients in understanding medical terminology, procedures, and treatment plans.
  • You support patients in completing necessary paperwork, e.g. consent forms or intake questionnaires, when required.
  • You help facilitate a comfortable and trusting environment for the patient by providing cultural and emotional support as needed.
