Description

POSITION SUMMARY

Primary responsibility is to perform careful and accurate scientific work using a variety of manual and automated procedures, while consistently maintaining compliance with all current regulatory agencies. The performance of EKG’s, arterial, capillary and venipuncture phlebotomy is required. Accurate problem solving and judgement in high-pressure situations is required. Providing good customer service to patients, families, visitors, and physicians is also required.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science

Certification:

  • Certified by a nationally recognized credentialing agency for Medical Laboratory Science, MLS (ASCP), MLS (AMT) or MLS (ASCPI)

Experience:

  • None required, must pass Certification exam within 1 year of hire.
