Schedule: PRN Shift: As Needed - Days, Evenings, and weekend availability The community you will be caring for: AdventHealth Waterman 1000 Waterman Way Tavares, FL 32778 The role you will contribute: The Medical Laboratory Scientist II performs complex diagnostic and analytic testing of laboratory specimens and interprets data. The value you will bring to the team: Reads, examines, and interprets complex test results Serves as a resource and addresses complex tests/procedures Manages instrument maintenance and troubleshooting practices Leads quality control and quality assurance testing Assists with data collection and special projects, as assigned Assists with department orientation and trains medical laboratory staff The expertise and experiences you will need to succeed: Associate’s degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or related field or equivalent education and training PREFERRED: • Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological science, or related field • One year of Clinical Lab experience Medical Laboratory Scientist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), or Medical Technologist (American Society for Clinical Pathology), or Medical Technologist (American Medical Technologist), or Medical Technologist (American Associate of Bioanalyst)
