Responsibilities Performs all required procedures relating to moderate and high complexity laboratory testing on all types of blood and body fluid specimens. Performs quality control procedures, instrument function checks, and preventative maintenance as required according to department policies and procedures. Teaches new employees laboratory policies and procedures. Qualifications Education: Certification from an accredited college or university required. Degree must be in Medical Laboratory Sciences or one of the biological or chemical sciences. Biological or chemical sciences also requires laboratoary training through an accredited laboratory school. Experience: One to two years experience preferred. Licenses/Certificates Required: Eligible for registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT,ASCP) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT,NCA) or equivalent.
