JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Part-time (10-12hrs per week) Patient Services Coordinator, you will be a point of contact for our patients. You will be an ambassador for our facility and brand.
As the part-time (10-12hrs per week) Lab Coordinator, you will facilitate in-house blood draw requirements for specialty lab tests, monitor patient test fulfillment, and support patient test fulfillment.

SKILLS

  • Written and verbal fluency in English.
  • Computer operation, word-processing, and spreadsheet utilization.
  • Maintain proper office deportment and hygiene.
  • Familiarity with EMR systems (Accuro)
  • Familiarity with CPSO standards & regulations
  • Interpersonal relationship building; conflict resolution; attention to detail; awareness of personal needs of yourself and others
  • Intellectual & Cultural sensitivity.
  • Good memory retention
  • Familiarity with communicating on social media platforms
  • Attention to detail to task completion
  • A sense of humour is a plus!
    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: $46,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
    Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week

Responsibilities

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES

  • Update, manage and work with patients & staff to create schedules
  • Answer and relay emails and phone inquiries.
  • Scan and file medical documents in a timely and appropriate manner– notify appropriate staff for review
  • International/domestic shipping

LAB DUTIES

  • Drawing blood from patients using proper technique and following safety protocols.
  • Collecting and preparing other specimens (e.g., urine, swabs etc) according to standard procedures.
  • Fill and prepare laboratory requisitions.
  • Properly managing patient samples and storing or transporting them under correct temperature conditions to maintain integrity.
  • Inventory management (Coordinating clinical supplies, testing kits, medical equipment, etc)
  • Liaise with third-party test suppliers to ensure proper test protocols are maintained.

CUSTOMER SERVICE DUTIES

  • Greet patients at the front desk, direct intake and manage patient flow.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, fulfill patient requests & questions, book appointments, and update scheduling systems.
  • Knowledge of our services & products
  • Amicably handle complaints & grievances
  • Keep records of customer interactions, transactions, comments, and complaints
  • Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and provide professional customer support
