REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current registration with the CMLTO in good standing
  • Proven phlebotomy experience, ideally in a clinical or outpatient setting
  • Strong knowledge of infection control, specimen handling, and safety protocols
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to remain calm and focused in high-volume or time-sensitive situations
  • Demonstrated experience providing inclusive, affirming care to LGBT2SQ+ individuals and families
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration in a multidisciplinary team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MDR certification and/or experience with medical device reprocessing
  • Experience working in fertility, women’s health, or outpatient care environments
  • Familiarity with EMR systems and tech-enabled healthcare tools
Responsibilities
  • Perform safe and accurate venipuncture and specimen collection for all patient types
  • Operate and maintain the in-house blood analyzer; interpret and document results reliably
  • Prepare, package, and coordinate transport of samples to external laboratories
  • Follow quality control procedures and infection prevention standards
  • Assist with new patient visits, including measuring and recording height, weight, and vital signs
  • Provide a calm, reassuring presence during sample collection and testing procedures
  • Participate in daily clinic upkeep by restocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient experiences and efficient workflows
