About the opportunity

NSW Health Pathology Wagga Wagga is looking for a talented Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our friendly Microbiology Team based in Wagga Wagga Base Hospital.

The role involves processing samples in our busy regional 24/7 modern microbiology laboratory working with a team of scientists identifying micro-organisms. The successful applicant will be able to participate in shift work, maintain equipment, liaise with clinical and medical staff and able to follow standards and procedures.

The local team is supportive and is considered a thriving environment. Previous human pathology experience in the microbiology field is highly regarded.

What you'll be doing

Responsible for delivering a range of operational laboratory activities including the coordination and provisions of scientific and technical training and the ongoing review, development and quality management of laboratory practices to ensure compliance with operational standards and procedures, quality standards and continual process improvement.
