Work Hours: Day shift; Full-time, Monday through Friday; 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology program or equivalent science required
• 2 years hospital experience or Medical Laboratory experience highly preferred

License and Certification:

• MLS – Medical Laboratory Scientist Certified by ASCP, AMT, HEW, HHS or NCA required upon hire OR
• MT (ASCP) – Medical Technologist required upon hire OR
• MT – Medical Technologist required upon hire

SKILLS

• Knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment and techniques of medical technology
• Ability to effectively prioritize and problem resolution
• Demonstrates the ability to analyze situations to make operational decision to meet clinical demands
• Demonstrates customer-focused service skills
• Demonstrates verbal and written communication adequately to facilitate training of laboratory and non-laboratory staff, to communicate specimen collection, effective handle requirements and provide assistance and support to laboratory and other health care staff
• Demonstrates effective interpersonal and organizational skills
• Basic computer knowledge
