Click on the link provided for more information - https://hoopp.com/ - Paid vacation & perks coverage (extended health care, dental, sick pay, life insurance) Job Summary Reporting to the Manager, Laboratory & Pharmacy, the Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician (MLA/T) performs a variety of support functions under direct supervision including; performing limited testing/tasks in assigned areas using accepted safety practices including electrocardiogram, Point Of care and phlebotomy; receiving, sorting, and processing specimens following established procedures and guidelines; preparing, handling and dispensing tubes/reagents, as required; receiving, thawing and issuing blood products as required; performing report handling, statistics collection, and document control and inventory and supply control responsibilities; assisting in maintenance of equipment and benches; observing and understanding Hospital and departmental policies and procedures; adhering to Hospital and departmental mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality; performing cross functional duties, as assigned, or requested including performing telephone responsibilities; performing other duties related to and consistent with job classification, as required.
