Description

Clinical Lab Technician plays a critical role in patient diagnostics by performing complex analyses .This role involves the preparation of specimens for examination, utilizing advanced automated equipment, conducting multiple intricate tests, and accurately interpreting results to support clinical decision-making.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, receive, and prepare patient samples (blood, urine, saliva, etc.) for analysis.
  • Ensure proper labeling and documentation of specimens as per Laboratory Standards.
  • Perform a variety of tests, including hematological, biochemical, serological, and other specialized analyses, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Conduct phlebotomy procedures when necessary.
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment in accordance with established protocols.
  • Verify test outcomes by reviewing patient history and prior test results to ensure consistency and reliability.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks daily on all test systems, ensuring accuracy and validity of results.
  • Participate in proficiency testing programs and support the laboratory accreditation process.
  • Ensuring all activities comply with DHA regulations and accreditation standards
  • Managing inventory of reagents, consumables, and supplies to maintain uninterrupted lab operations.
  • Data Entry and Record-Keeping:
  • Comply with ISO accreditations requirements as per the standards of ISO 15189:2012 and perform the duties necessary as per ISO standards
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians and nurses, regarding test results and patient information as needed.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Foster effective collaboration and communication within and between departments to maintain a seamless workflow.
  • Ensure a safe, clean, and compliant laboratory environment by following established safety protocols, including infection control and hazardous waste management.
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and adhere to privacy policies, protecting both patient and clinic data integrity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Associate degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, microbiology,chemistry, biology, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience is mandatory
  • Active DHA license to practice as a Clinical Medical Laboratory Technologist.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Highly skilled in the precise manipulation of laboratory equipment and test materials.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Capable of staying calm under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills, especially when working with high-expectation patients.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to present information systematically and ensure follow-up as required.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
