Description
Description Perform routine medical laboratory tests (urine drug screening and confirmation) for the diagnosis and treatment in a physician's office lab. Ensure compliance with HIPAA/OSHA standards. Ensure timeliness and precision in tests being conducted and reports provided to physicians in accordance with Laboratory Director instructions. Perform technical laboratory functions. Operation of LC/MS/MS instrument. Report test results following clinic protocols alerting appropriate clinical staff about abnormal results. Ensure quality control specimen handling and preparation, and maintain accurate record keeping. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies. Set up, maintain, calibrate, clean, and test the sterility of medical laboratory equipment. Comply with all laboratory policies and OSHA regulations related to safety, cleanliness, and infection control. Assist the Lab Director as needed Follow HIPAA regulations. Follow Compliance rules and regulations against fraud and abuse. Other duties as assigned This is a part-time position. Roughly 20 hours per week. Must work on Fridays. Requirements Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Bachelor’s Degree in MLS, MLT, or an Associates Degree in MLT. Medical laboratory experience with LC/MS preferred. Licensure/Certification as MLT, ASCP, AABB, or AMT required. Experience in Urine Drug Testing Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team player. Tactfulness. Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to change. Pleasant phone manner and voice. Must be a self-starter and dependable. Able to prioritize workload while remaining flexible. Confident positive manner and appearance. Customer service experience. Word processing, data entry, 10-key, telephone, and computer experience
