Description

Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Medical Laboratory Technician II The appointee will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests in a hospital-based diagnostic laboratory. Duties include (a) conducting specialised tests related to prenatal diagnosis; and (b) implementing, documenting, and assisting with quality control procedures to ensure correct instrument functioning. Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Applied Science, or related disciplines; (ii) registered as a Medical Laboratory Technologist under Part I/II of the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board in Hong Kong; (iii) a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Medical Laboratory Technologists Board; and (iv) good knowledge of diagnostic laboratory work. Having experience in genome sequencing technologies is preferred. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to 1 year, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
