Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician Location: Kadena , Okinawa 9040200 Japan Duties: Login/order patient lab tests Issue collection kits Perform phlebotomy of patients Perform sample processing which includes: Centrifugation. Pouring off of samples into shipping tubes. Plating microbiology samples. Preparing sample shipments. Perform/review waived clinical laboratory testing in accordance with established operating instructions (OI), ensuring reporting of accurate results within established turnaround time. Manage administrative aspects of waived testing by ensuring compliance with routine quality control and preventative maintenance requirements. Maintain records of work accomplished, time expended, and prepare/review reports as required. Consult with other medical staff members to determine their requirements for effective patient care. Qualification: High school diploma or equivalent. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Phlebotomy Certification or Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) Certificate through a nationally accredited agency. all employees performing services shall be proficient in understanding (reading, speaking, listening, and writing) English
