About the role | Mō te tūranga: We are looking for an enthusiastic Medical Laboratory Technician to join our Microbiology Department in the Nelson lab. This permanent, part-time position, offers flexibility and includes participation in after-hour rosters. This is the chance to grow your career in a dynamic laboratory environment. While experience in microbiology is preferred, we are happy to consider candidates with the right skills and a strong science background who are eager to learn and develop. About you | He kōrero mōu To be successful in this role you need to have: The ability to work in a methodical manner adhering to strict quality procedure guidelines. A team focus with initiative, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. Excellent attention to detail, with good record keeping skills. The ability to work independently, while in a supported role. Registration with the Medical Science Council and an Annual Practicing Certificate as a Medical Laboratory Technician preferred. Eligibility to work in New Zealand.
