JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Lab Technician to join our MoH lisensed and ISO 15189Plus accredited laboratory for work under containment level-2. The ideal candidate will have experience in performing a variety of laboratory tests.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Medical Laboratory Technician.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a clinical laboratory molecular diagnostic setting under containment level-2.
  • Proficient in the use of laboratory equipment and software.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine laboratory tests in molecular diagnostics, biochemistry, microbiology, and other areas as required.
  • Operate and maintain sophisticated laboratory equipment.
  • Ensure the accuracy and precision of test results by following established protocols and quality control procedures.
  • Maintain laboratory records and document results accurately.
  • Adhere to safety and infection control procedures.
  • Ensure that standards for technical efficiency and quality control are met, and Ministry of Health and other government regulations are adhered to.
  • Ensures all necessary documentation is collected, completed, logged, and specimens are correctly processed.
  • Routine disinfecting of work area and equipment is to be completed on a routine/scheduled basis.
  • Responsible to protect their Health and Safety by reporting hazards and working in compliance with standard Safe Working Practices.
  • Ensure patient safety and dignity at all times.
  • Responsible for preserving and safeguard all confidential information that comes to their knowledge in the course of completing services on the company’s behalf.
  • Responsible to observe and comply with company guidelines and all applicable legal requirements with respect to confidential information and the protection of privacy.
  • Conduct administrative work as required.
