Description Job Title: Medical Laser Technician Department: Clinical Services FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Type: Full Time Pay Range: $21.00-$25.00 per hour, commensurate with experience Schedule: Monday - Friday, daytime hours (no weekends or holidays) Mission Statement: The mission on Tareen Dermatology is to provide compassionate, state of the art dermatologic care to each patient with an emphasis on early diagnosis, patient education, and comprehensive skincare. Responsibilities: • Treat patients with excimer laser and nbUVB phototherapy while making educated and accurate dosing decisions • Keep the work space(s) clean and orderly, restock the rooms as needed and make sure the room is sterilized for each patient • Complete all notes accurately and in a timely manner, correct them as requested by supervisors and physicians • Work with insurance to perform verification of benefits and/or prior authorizations on behalf of patients prior to starting treatments • Maintain excellent charting skills, including all patient communication and progress notes • Keep open communication with other employees in the department, especially regarding patient care • Educate the patients about the process and the science regarding excimer laser and phototherapy • Complete all open/close duties as required • Manage patient treatment schedules as they change and work with scheduling staff to ensure proper bookings • Remain flexible with schedule changes and fill in as needed • All other duties assigned Requirements Required Education and Experience: • High school diploma or equivalent • 1-2 years of customer service experience Preferred Education and Experience: • Associate's or Bachelor's degree • CNA or CMA certification • 1-2 years of patient-facing experience Work Environment: • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic setting. • All to travel to all of our locations occasionally. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
