We are a family practice medical clinic that includes a number of family doctors who are looking for a medical office administrator. We are located at 7777 Weston Rd, Woodbridge, L4L 0G9, at the intersection of Hwy 7 and Weston Rd. Our website has some more general info. https://centrohealthcare.ca/
We are looking for a temporary part-time office administrator who has experience working with multiple doctors in a fast paced environment, preferably has experience using PS Suite EMR, and is trained in doing injections (with IM certificate or RPN).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Medical secretarial/receptionist diploma required
  • IM injection course certificate or registered practical nurse degree is required.
  • Prior experience as medical administrator in a family medicine office is required.
  • Experience with Telus PS Suite EMR is an asset.
  • Able to work in a family practice medical clinic with multiple doctors and high volume of patients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Professional appearance and positive demeanour.
  • Dependable and reliable.
  • Punctual, has reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency in English required, Italian an asset.
    Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract
    Pay: $19.00-$24.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Responsibilities
  • Conduct patient registration.
  • Update patient information, and ensure valid OHIP numbers are in the chart.
  • Take patients to exam rooms, and coordinate effective patient flow.
  • Answer phone calls in an accurate and efficient manner. Process payment for non-OHIP insured services in an organized manner.
  • Invoicing lawyers and insurance companies for their requested documents. Fax, mail, scan documents as needed.
  • Measure patient vitals including height, weight, and blood pressure digitally.
  • Candidate must have IM injection course or RPN certificate to be able to administer vaccines, B12, allergy shots, TB skin tests
  • Setting up and getting patients ready for various procedures and tests such as paps, wound care dressings, suture and staple removal, wart treatments, ear syringing.
  • Checking vaccine fridge as instructed.
  • Checking and responding to messages in the EMR from the physician regularly.
  • Completing tasks assigned by family doctors such as calling patients to relay messages when directed by physician.
  • Ensuring exam rooms are stocked up appropriately.
