Description

Our fast-paced, high-energy, multi-physician clinic is seeking a full-time MOA. The position would be employed under a single physician covering both their MSP and private practice with training to commence as soon as possible. We pride ourselves on our team compatibility and are seeking to add someone who would further supplement our already effective work group. The successful candidate will be someone with an outgoing personality who thrives working with people, and has a keen ability to learn and maintain a positive attitude under all circumstances.
Key responsibilities and aspects of the position include, but are not limited to:
Duties include calendar management to maintain an efficient surgical and office schedule, patient check-in and confirmation of demographics through our EMR system Plexia, processing payments where required, answering phone calls and email inquiries promptly, processing and appropriately scheduling referrals based on the nature of the conditions, creating booking packages for both hospitals and private facilities, working with sales reps and other suppliers for surgical procedures, and office maintenance. Minor bookkeeping duties will also be required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to be flexible, adaptable and to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Attention to details and the ability to deliver tasks accurately and efficiently. Self-motivation with a strong work ethic and critical thinking/problem-solving skills. Excellent organization and time management skills. Ability to collaborate within a diverse team environment to support surgeons, staff members and peers. Exemplary communication skills and knowledge of medical terminology. Strong computer skills and experience using an EMR. Strong conflict management skills, empathy, and trustworthiness along with knowledge of the Health Information Privacy Regulations.
Qualifications:
MOA certificate required. Experience working in a private care facility or experience with surgical bookings is an asset but not a requirement, as we are looking for and willing to train the right candidate. Experience with Plexia EMR and Moneris would be beneficial.
If you think you are the right candidate for this position, please send us your resume along with a cover letter. We look forward to meeting you soon! Please note that while we appreciate all applications, only those selected for interviews will be contacted.
