Our family practice office is dedicated to providing high-quality, patient-centred care in a peaceful and calming environment. We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Medical Office Administrator/Receptionist to cover a maternity leave contract for 6 months, with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting (required)
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
  • Proficiency with EMR systems (ACCURO preferred)
  • Excellent computer and phone communication skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional, punctual, reliable, and team-oriented
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are an asset)
    Job Type: 6-month contract (Full-time), with the opportunity to transition into a permanent position

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients in a warm and professional manner and verify their information
  • Answer phone calls and emails, and schedule/manage appointments
  • Coordinate medical referrals and update patient records in the EMR system (experience with ACCURO EMR is an asset)
  • Process billing, insurance correspondence, and payments
  • Assist with vaccine handling, storage, and other clinical administrative tasks
  • Order office/medical supplies and ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of patient and office areas
  • Support physicians and clinical staff in providing seamless care
