Alberta Eye MD was founded by our doctors in February 2013. Our vision was to create a center of excellence in ophthalmic care. Alberta Eye MD is a multiple MD facility offering a broad scope of eye services which include cataract, glaucoma, cornea, retina and other eye-related diseases.
We are proud to have a state of the art facility with the most cutting edge diagnostic testing and treatments in Northern Alberta. This includes medical treatments and surgical procedures to address ocular conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, pediatric and adult strabismus, as well as corneal and retinal diseases.
We aim to provide the best quality of care for our patients with a desire to maximize efficiency and utilization of healthcare resources.
We are growing and looking to add a Medical Office Assistant who is reliable, detail-oriented and passionate about patient care. This is a fast-paced role that demands excellent time management and adaptability.
This is a full-time, in-person role based at our Edmonton clinic.

What You’ll Do:

  • Check in patients and confirm demographics
  • Rebook patients as per physician’s instructions
  • Book referrals
  • Answer a busy phone line and respond to inquiries in a timely, professional manner
  • Support physicians and staff with daily administrative needs
  • Other administrative duties as required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Team-oriented and committed to providing excellent patient care
  • Reliable, professional, and eager to learn about ophthalmology
  • Experience in ophthalmology or optometry is preferred
  • Experience using Healthquest is an asset
  • Must be available for Saturdays as needed
