Job Opportunity: Full time Medical Office Assistant (MOA)
Location: Amari Medical Practice 102 -13805 104 ave Surrey, BC
Hours: 37-40 hours a week
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team in a 7 practitioner healthcare setting. Experience in a similar environment is preferred. Proficiency with Oscar EMR is a strong asset.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a medical office 2 years minimum
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the team.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records systems, specifically Epic and Dentrix, is highly desirable.
  • Experience with front desk operations and managing multi-line phone systems is beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with the check-in process at the front desk.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) system such JUNO-Oscar
  • Assist in coordinating patient flow within the office to ensure efficient operations.
  • Process billing and payment transactions accurately.
  • Support healthcare providers by preparing exam rooms and ensuring necessary supplies are stocked.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office organization.
