Description:
Are you a detail-oriented and compassionate professional looking for more hours or a part-time opportunity in a medical office setting? We are seeking a Medical Office Assistant to join our office two days a week to support and provide excellent patient service at Alexandra Hospital Ingersoll.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Previous experience as a Medical Office Assistant or in a healthcare setting preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures is an asset
Every Monday and Thursday
Minimum 8 hours per da
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR)
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and processing insurance claims
- Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers as needed
- Maintain office supplies and ensure a clean and organized workspace
