Part Time: Monday - Friday (3 days per week)

A medical clinic in Chilliwack is looking for a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to work in a multi family physician office. We are seeking a professional, experienced, and detail-oriented candidate who is committed to providing high-quality administrative and patient support in a fast-paced medical setting.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Completion of a recognized MOA program or have equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems (experience with Oscar is an asset)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.
  • A high level of discretion and commitment to patient confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and a patient-focused attitude.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving clinic needs and responsibilities.
  • Understanding of medical terminology and privacy regulations (PHIPA/FIPPA).

Responsibilities
  • Greet and register patients, ensuring accurate collection of demographic and health information.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient bookings efficiently.
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMRs)
  • Assist physicians and healthcare providers with administrative and clinical support as needed.
  • Handle all MSP, Hospital, LTC, WCB, ICBC and Private billings.
  • Respond to patient inquiries via phone, email, and in person while ensuring exceptional customer service.
  • Handle referrals to specialists and diagnostic services with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage clinic inventory and supplies, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to optimize clinic workflow and patient experience.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality and security protocols regarding patient information.
  • Perform additional administrative duties as assigned by clinic management.
