Seeking an experienced and highly organized MOA to join a Kelowna gynecology practice, working primarily with one physician within a multi-physician practice. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in gynecology or a specialty medical office setting and be confident working independently in a busy clinical environment. Advanced working knowledge of Accuro EMR is essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate critical thinking, sound judgment, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize competing demands, while maintaining a compassionate and professional approach with patients. Compensation

$28.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

* There may be an opportunity for additional compensation based on demonstrated experience, initiative, and the ability to contribute to improved clinic efficiency and workflow.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Reception & Communication

Greet patients in a professional, welcoming, and respectful manner.

Answer and manage incoming telephone calls, emails, and patient inquiries.

Communicate appointment information, preparation instructions, follow-up requirements, and other relevant information to patients.

Maintain a calm, compassionate, and non-judgmental and comply with privacy and professional standards.

Scheduling & Clinic Coordination

Schedule consultations, follow-up appointments, procedures, and other clinical services appropriately.

Coordinate the physician's schedule and assist in maintaining an efficient clinic flow.

Identify scheduling issues or gaps and use critical thinking to resolve them appropriately.

Coordinate appointments with KGH, ensuring appropriate documentation is completed and sent ahead of procedure days.

Anticipate scheduling challenges and proactively identify solutions.

Physician & Clinical Support

Prepare charts and patient information prior to appointments.

Prepare examination rooms and ensure supplies are adequately stocked.

Support the physician with documentation, forms, requisitions, and other clinical administrative requirements.

Assist with arranging and tracking follow-up appointments, investigations, procedures, and referrals.

Support the physician in maintaining an organized and efficient clinic.

Process incoming and outgoing referrals efficiently and accurately ensuring appropriate communication with referring physician offices

Maintain and monitor appropriate waitlists.

EMR & Administrative Duties

Advanced working knowledge of Accuro EMR is essential.

Use Accuro effectively for scheduling, chart management, referral tracking, documentation, and day-to-day clinic workflows.

Prepare correspondence, forms, generate consultation letters

Pay: $28.00-$29.00 per hour
