Job Overview

We are seeking either a part-time or full-time position for medical office assistant to join our healthcare team. We offer flexible working hours either part-time or full-time. Our office is open Monday through Saturday. We currently employee 3 long-term medical office assistance. We are looking to add 1 individual to the team as we have 2 new physicians joining our office shortly. Our EMR is MedAccess. We can potentially offer her 1 week of training prior to starting as well.

Duties

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing exceptional customer service at the front desk
• Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages promptly
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs) using MedAccess, ensuring confidentiality and organizationusing MedAccess
• Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing or payment processing as needed
• Prepare exam rooms, update patient charts, and assist with administrative tasks related to patient intake and check-out
• Coordinate appointment scheduling, cancellations, and follow-up reminders efficiently
• Support the medical team by handling administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and data entry

Requirements

• Previous experience with MedAccess is preferred but not mandatory
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient information
• Past experiences preferable but not a requirement
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing schedules and records
• Ability to operate multi-line phone systems confidently and professionally
• Demonstrated office experience with proficiency in office equipment and software applications
• It is preferable if the applicant is multilingual, particularly in Punjabi but not a requirement
