Are you a detail-oriented and compassionate professional looking for more hours or a part-time opportunity in a medical office setting? We are seeking a Medical Office Assistant to join our office once a week (Mondays) to support and provide excellent patient service in a clinic located at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Diploma or Certificate in Medical Office Administration from a recognized educational institution
  • Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant or other administrative roles in a healthcare setting
  • Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and billing procedures

Responsibilities
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming environment
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally
  • Assist with billing, invoicing, and processing insurance claims
  • Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers as needed
  • Maintain office supplies and ensure a clean and organized workspace
