We are a modern, technology-driven clinic located in the heart of Medicine Hat. Our team is friendly, supportive, and collaborative, and we value a positive and respectful work environment.

You’ll be joining a team that works closely together to support patients and keep the clinic running smoothly, while maintaining a calm and well-organized atmosphere.

We are looking to fill this position with a start date of August 24th.


Schedule Requirements

Must be available to work: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Tuesday, Thursday: 1:00 PM – 7:00 PM

On-call availability is required to cover occasional staff absences and vacation.

Pay: CA$18.00-CA$21.00 per hour


Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and provide a welcoming, professional experience
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out
  • Maintain and update patient records in Accuro EMR
  • Process referrals, forms, and incoming documents
  • Handle emails, faxes, scanning, and general administrative tasks
  • Support basic billing for uninsured services via our point-of-sale terminal
  • Coordinate communication between patients, physicians, and clinic staff
  • Support patient flow and day-to-day clinic operations
  • Prepare and clean exam rooms between patients
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
  • Perform basic lab tests (if applicable)
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of work areas
  • Ensure patient confidentiality at all times
  • Manage monthly panel updates in the EMR
  • Review and resolve demographic mismatches and panel conflicts


Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Office Assistant (required)
  • Experience with Accuro EMR
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, professional, and comfortable working both independently and in a team


Assets

  • Experience in a family or primary care clinic
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and referrals
  • Basic understanding of billing processes
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to take initiative in daily clinic operations
  • Сomfortable working with digital systems
  • Work Location: In person
