Overview

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Office Assistant, where your energy and organizational skills will drive smooth and efficient patient experiences. In this vital role, you will be the friendly face at the front desk, managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, and ensuring that all administrative tasks are handled with precision. Your proactive approach will support our healthcare providers in delivering exceptional care while maintaining a welcoming and professional environment for every patient.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring a positive first impression
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to answer inquiries, schedule appointments, and relay messages promptly
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records using ACCURO
  • Verify patient insurance information and process billing
  • Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and managing correspondence to keep the office organized and efficient
  • Support medical staff by preparing exam rooms, updating patient charts, and basic patient care
  • Assist with appointment scheduling, cancellations, and reminders to optimize provider schedules

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately document patient information and communicate effectively with healthcare providers
  • Experience working with Accuro electronic medical records system for documentation and data management
  • Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a medical/dental office environment with front desk responsibilities
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with patients, staff, and external partners
  • Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail in handling administrative duties and maintaining records
  • Be able to follow tasks from team lead
  • Available evenings and weekends is a must.
