JOB OPPORTUNITY: EXPERIENCED MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT (MOA) – BUSY OFFICE IN NORTH VANCOUVER

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Plexia software experience is a must
  • Previous experience as an MOA in a medical office setting
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service to patients
  • Scheduling and coordinating appointments with efficiency
  • Managing patient records and ensuring they are up-to-date
  • Handling billing and insurance claims using Plexia software (Plexia experience is a must)
  • Answering phone inquiries and managing office communications
  • Providing administrative support to physicians and medical staff as needed

DUTIES

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage incoming calls using phone systems, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments.
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
  • Support the office operations as needed.
