ABOUT US:

We are a newly established primary care practice that prides itself on providing exceptional care while focusing on patient comfort and efficiency. Our Marigold team consists of supportive professionals who value teamwork, compassion, and creating a welcoming environment for everyone who walks through our doors. Our office is home to seven primary care physicians who have well-established practices within our local community. We will soon be expanding to include additional practitioners to our clinic. Our physicians work with varying schedules and paces. Marigold is fortunate to also coordinate patient care with allied healthcare professionals, including registered nurses, social workers, clinical pharmacists, and mental health support workers.

IDEAL CANDIDATE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Friendly & Professional: You have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a warm approach to patient care.
  • Organized & Efficient: You’re comfortable handling multiple tasks and keeping things organized, even on busy days. You are compassionate and can demonstrate patience when dealing with the public.
  • Experience: Prior experience as a medical office assistant or in a healthcare environment is required. Customer service experience is an asset. MOA Diploma is an asset but not required.
  • Technologically Proficient: You are proficient with office software, including Outlook, Microsoft Office, MedAccess, and OceanMD, and demonstrate adaptability in learning new systems. While experience with MedAccess is required, we are open to meeting candidates who have a strong understanding of other EMR platforms and the ability to quickly learn MedAccess.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As our Medical Office Assistant, you’ll be the first point of contact for our patients. We need someone who is skilled in organization, patient care, and administration. This is a role for someone who loves helping others, is comfortable with technology, and can maintain a calm, professional demeanor while multitasking with ease. You should be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, check them in, and make them feel at ease.
  • Scheduling & Communication: Manage phone calls, emails, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries with a friendly, informative approach.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain and organize patient records, and ensure a tidy and welcoming reception area. Ensure completion of follow-up task such as coordinating outgoing referrals, attaching incoming faxes, booking patient recalls, and addressing patient inquiries.
  • Team Support: Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient flow and assist with day-to-day office operations.
