We’re looking for a Medical Office Assistant for a busy medical clinic to assist with all office tasks, from reception duties to patient correspondence. You will be responsible for assisting our qualified staff and doctors with a variety of medical tasks. Medical Office Assistant responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling appointments, greeting patients, taking payments and managing faxes/scans. Although we’ll ask you to prioritize tasks, you should anticipate a wide range of responsibilities. Being detail-oriented and good at communication is essential. We want someone who is comfortable talking with people at all levels. You should be able to work effectively in a busy environment while juggling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines. The goal is to support our staff and make their job easier.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs routine clerical paperwork and manages and redirects results for x-rays, patient tests and immunizations .
  • Greet patients, verify identity and check for any recent changes in address or phone number.
  • Maintain, copy and file patient medical records to ensure easy access and availability to all medical staff.
  • Keep records of current inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls .
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
  • Manage faxes and scans from external clinics/pharmacies throughout the day

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
