MEDICAL OFFICE ASSISTANT (TEMPORARY PART-TIME, 6 MONTHS WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENSION)

Consider joining our team if you are an experienced MOA/Medical Receptionist and you are looking for a temporary part-time position (6 months). We are looking for someone who has immediate availability. This position will primarily provide coverage for sick leave and vacation relief, with shifts scheduled during regular clinic hours. The person who takes this position would be committed to “keeping the clinic running” as they act as a patient coordinator, supporting all aspects of patient care in the clinic.
Picture Butte Medical Clinic provides primary care services to the community. We endeavor to provide optimal care in a professional, steady, and supportive environment.

Qualifications.

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work well in a team setting as well as independently
  • Experience with Med Access or an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is an asset
  • Previous experience in a medical office or receptionist role is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt
  • Dependable and motivate
Responsibilities

Your position may include, but is not limited to:

  • Playing a key role in the organization and flow of clinic operations
  • Greet patients and respond to patients’ enquiries both in-person and by telephone
  • Supporting the healthcare team, physician, and staff with scheduling and coordination
  • Collect payment for services not covered by insurance
  • Rooming patients (vital signs using automated BP monitor, heights and weights) and preparing examination rooms between patient visits
  • General administrative duties as required
  • Supporting physicians with patient care flow and documentation
  • Keep accurate records
  • Providing coverage during staff sick leave or vacation, scheduled within clinic hours
