Job Summary:
PulseAir Heart & Lung Center is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our team on a full-time. The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for reception/referral coordinator duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing patient records.
  • The MOA welcomes patients in a friendly and professional manner and follows the check-in policies and procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic waiting room and front end.
  • Uses Healthquest to arrive patient’s and update chart information.
  • Prepare patient charts depending on their appointment type.
  • Book patient appointments in a timely manner, maintaining an up-to-date worklist.
  • Answers incoming phone calls and answers questions, providing excellent patient care.
  • Scanning and linking patient documents into charts and auditing to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintains patient privacy and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Works with an interdisciplinary team and other technical staff to provide optimal patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Medical Office Assistant (MOA) program or equivalent.
  • At least 1 Year Previous experience working in a healthcare or medical office setting is preferred. (pulmonology/cardiology clinic knowledge is an asset)
  • Knowledge of CPAP equipment is an asset.
  • Excellent computer knowledge and data-entry skills. (Healthquest/Microquest knowledge is an asset).
  • Detail oriented, good planning and strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and the zest to learn
