POSITION OVERVIEW:

Regal Health Center is seeking an experienced friendly, organized, and motivated Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our clinic. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting patients, physicians.
As a front-line representative of the clinic, the MOA helps ensure smooth day-to-day operations and contributes to delivering excellent patient care.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • 2-3 years Experience in a medical or healthcare office setting preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems (Libra experience an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Accurate typing
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced clinic
  • Strong attention to detail, discretion, and organizational abilities
Responsibilities

Reception & Patient Support:

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and partners in person and by phone
  • Direct inquiries to the appropriate team member and manage voicemail messages
  • Monitor and maintain a tidy, welcoming waiting area
  • Address patient behaviors in the waiting room with professionalism and care

Client Intake & Scheduling:

  • Assist with patient intake and ensure accurate completion of documentation
  • Schedule, confirm, and follow up on appointments
  • Maintain electronic patient records and support clients with navigation of services
  • Medical Assistance: Take vital signs (e.g., blood pressure)
  • Assist with urine sample collection and dipstick testing
  • Coordinate referrals, lab work, pharmacy communication, and specialist bookings
  • Prepare and manage medical documents, reports, and meeting minutes
  • Scan, file, and archive patient records using MOIS and paper systems
  • Process mail and maintain organized administrative systems
  • Help maintain cleanliness and clinic readiness, including regular surface disinfection
