OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated, part-time Medical Office Assistant to join our team working on Monday and Friday evenings from 4 pm to 7 pm, and Saturdays from 11 am to 3 pm. There may occasionally be optional extra evening work adding another 3 hours. Regular work will amount to approx. 10 - 13 hours per week.
Occasional full-time work will also be required to cover staff vacation leave on an as needed basis. Flexibility in scheduling and availability to cover these full time vacation shifts will be considered an asset.
As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our medical office. Your primary responsibilities will include providing administrative support, managing patient records, and assisting with various office tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a medical or dental office setting and possess strong organizational and communication skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • certified Medical Office Assistant
  • Previous experience working in a medical or physiotherapy office setting required
  • Familiarity with physiotherapy duties and terminology is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) system JaneApp
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of Google Workspace and Mac computers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with team members
