We are looking to hire a Full-time Medical Office Assistant to work at our Vancouver Clinic. The ideal candidate should have 1 year plus experience working in a medical clinic.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Assist with insurance verification and billing processes
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow-up appointments
- Manage front desk operations, including filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Provide administrative support to healthcare providers and staff
- Providing quality customer service
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical office a specialist is preferred
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple phone lines
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, MedAccess is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is a plus
- Reliable, energetic and hard working
- Friendly, polite and professional manner towards both patients and colleagues
- Formal MOA training certification
- Proficient in English (both verbal and written), other language(s) would be an asset
