JOB OVERVIEW

Stride Pedorthic Center provides custom made orthotics and prosthetics as well as prefabricated gait assistance products. We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing administrative support within a medical setting, ensuring smooth operations and excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and health information management, with experience in a medical office setting. Will train.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and health information management practices.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with patients and staff.
  • Proficiency in using medical office systems and software for scheduling and record keeping.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide medical administrative support by answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and managing correspondence.
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance patient experience.
  • Utilize various systems for health information management to ensure data accuracy and security. Experience with EMR, Dr. Chrono preferred.
  • Support the facility’s daily operations by performing clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management.
  • Assist clinicians with faxing, phone calls to physician offices and clinical room prep.
