QUALIFICATIONS:

  • We are looking for a candidate with at least 1 year of experience in an MOA role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with staff, patients and external agencies.
  • Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion, ensuring privacy and confidentiality.
  • Sensitivity and compassion toward patient needs, with an understanding of cultural and gender inclusivity.
  • Self-motivation, adaptability to change, and proactive mindset.
  • Detail-oriented and able to remain calm in busy or stressful situations.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and office equipment, including Microsoft and G Suite apps.
Responsibilities
  • Answer telephone, office emails, and messages promptly and professionally.
  • Schedule and coordinate patient appointments.
  • Process and respond to incoming e-faxes and other communications in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with other healthcare professionals as necessary to coordinate patient care (e.g. referring physicians, subspecialists, allied health professionals, social workers, public health).
  • Maintain patient records and ensure data accuracy.
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and support them during clinical care as needed.
  • Obtain and document patient measurements (e.g., height, weight, head circumference, blood pressure).
  • Perform basic clinical tasks such as urinalysis screening and room preparation ("flipping” exam rooms).
  • Stock and clean exam rooms, ensuring supplies are replenished and surfaces sanitized.
  • Perform minor cleaning duties in the waiting area as necessary, such as wiping furniture during the day.
  • Support overall office organization and cleanliness.
