Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team! In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your responsibilities will include managing appointment scheduling, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing exceptional administrative support. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent front desk service in a professional manner
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using electronic health record systems.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems efficiently, directing calls to appropriate staff members
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date scheduling in our electronic medical records (EMR) systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations
  • Assist with billing procedures, insurance verifications, and patient check-in/check-out processes
  • Support clinical staff by preparing examination rooms and handling administrative tasks related to patient flow
  • Handle administrative duties such as data entry, filing, faxing, scanning documents, and managing office supplies

Experience

  • Prior experience working in a medical, dental, imaging office environment is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency with scheduling patients
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology to accurately interpret clinical documentation
  • Experience as a medical receptionist or in medical office administration is a plus
  • Proven ability to manage multi-line phone systems and provide exceptional front desk support
  • Office experience that includes handling administrative tasks in busy diagnostic imaging settings
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively
