Description The Office Manager is responsible for performing and directing all office activity for daily operations of the primary care physician practice, including scheduling and supervising all practice staff (reception and nursing) and serving as the primary contact person for the doctor and all outside vendors on issues concerning the office. Has full access to patient health information Requirements Associate degree in Business or related field preferred. At least three years related medical office experience, including some supervisory experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, etc.) and all office equipment. Working knowledge of medical terminology, practice computer systems and software, insurance, medical/legal issues relevant to the practice, accounts receivable management, bookkeeping, and coding. Ability to perform and instruct/train others in essential medical office functions. Ability to make decisions independently and to resolve problems/conflicts in an effective manner. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Good physical and mental health Must possess full range of body motion to pass basic FIT test for position to include walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
