Description

We are a busy medical office looking for an enthusiastic front desk receptionist to join our team. We are located in Collingwood, it is a smaller office with two family practice physicians, Although it may seem small, we are an extremely busy office and so an ideal candidate must be able to multitask and have the ability to manage their time exceptionally well in an often chaotic setting. We are a close nit work family within a small workspace, so it is important we find a candidate that is adaptable to this environment.

The potential candidate will be responsible for:

  • Greeting patients and checking health cards upon arrival
  • Answer multiple phone lines, transferring calls to appropriate staff
  • Faxing, copying, emailing and checking our physical mailbox and sorting the mail
  • Scanning. A large component of this role is scanning medical reports into patient charts
  • Booking appointments for both doctors and our nurse
  • Helping to maintain the flow of office in our schedule EMR by tracking patients from arrival, to being seen, to leaving our office.
  • making sure patients take any and all appropriate paperwork in hand, at end of their visit
  • Helping to maintain a clean office by tidying and changing garbages when needed, keeping washrooms stocked with essential supplies

An Ideal candidate is personable, adaptable, friendly, energetic, reliable and great at prioritizing tasks appropriately
A lot of our patients are seniors and so patience is needed with some, as they may require you to repeat yourself, or explain things several times, or speak slowly if needed.
Experience with PS Suites is an asset, but not mandatory
Typing skills are required.
MUST have ability to multitask and to do so with a smile.
We are looking for a good fit to blend and become a part of the strong team we have.
A 3 month paid probationary period may be implicated to ensure you are adapting well into the role, as it is a very close nit group, within a tight space.
Working well together is our top priority.
