Medical Office Receptionist – Family Care 18425 Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together **** Work location: 8440 Walnut Hill Lane, Ste. 100 Dallas, TX 75231 Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm Family Care 18425 highlights: · Great Team Atmosphere · Great Company Benefits Package · Success Sharing Opportunities Here’s What You Need Education · High School Diploma or equivalent (required) Experience · Six months of healthcare experience in a clinical setting, or customer service experience in a clinical setting or office environment (preferred) What You Will Do · Under direct supervision, the Receptionist is responsible for performing a variety of general administrative support duties associated with the patient intake process and performs routine duties within the clinic. · Perform patient check-in at the time of visit and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance. · Answer phone calls and directs them appropriately. · Schedule appointments according to office guideline. · Obtains accurate patient and insurance information, collecting copays and deductible amounts. · Copy/scan patient access related hard copy materials (e.g. ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record. · Prepare charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete.
