Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

To book appointments for new and existing patients and provide support and coverage for front reception as required in a busy cardiology clinic.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Book appointments for clinic testing, consultations, and follow-ups for new and existing patients
  • Provide front reception coverage, including patient check-in and verification of Alberta Health Care numbers and demographic information
  • Receive, attach, and book requisitions via fax or phone using the clinic’s EMR system
  • Answer phone calls and manage patient inquiries and concerns
  • Process payments for Out-of-Country and Third-Party procedures
  • Scan and attach patient forms to electronic records
  • Perform patient vitals and ECGs (considered an asset)
